What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an advanced dermal treatment designed to naturally restore volume and stimulate collagen production. Unlike traditional fillers that add volume instantly, Sculptra works gradually to rebuild the skin’s foundation, providing a long-lasting, natural enhancement. Made from poly-L-lactic acid, Sculptra is biocompatible and safely absorbed by the body over time, encouraging a refreshed, youthful appearance.
How Does Sculptra Work?
Sculptra is unique in that it doesn’t provide immediate results. Instead, it promotes the skin’s natural collagen production, which takes place over several weeks. After the treatment, poly-L-lactic acid particles in Sculptra work to boost collagen deep within the skin layers. This process gently restores volume, improving the contours of your face and helping to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.
Most clients see visible results within a few weeks, with full benefits after a few months. With Sculptra, the results are gradual yet long-lasting, typically lasting up to two years or more.
Benefits of Sculptra:
– Natural-Looking Results: Sculptra enhances your natural beauty by working with your body’s collagen production.
– Long-Lasting Effects: Results often last up to two years, offering more durability than many other fillers.
– Progressive Improvement: Results develop gradually, allowing for a subtle, refreshed appearance that won’t look overly “done.”
– Collagen Stimulation: Encourages the natural production of collagen, improving overall skin texture and elasticity.

What to Expect During and After Treatment
The Sculptra procedure at Verve Aesthetics is straightforward. During your session, we will apply a topical anaesthetic to minimise discomfort. Sculptra is then injected into the targeted areas using fine needles. The treatment generally takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
After treatment, you may experience mild swelling or bruising, but these side effects usually subside within a few days. We recommend a “5-5-5” massage technique: massaging the treated area for five minutes, five times a day, for five days post-treatment to help distribute the product evenly.
