To continue receiving your weight loss treatment, you must get in touch with Verve Aesthetics in advance to arrange the next dose.
- Medication is supplied following a clinical review.
- You may receive your supply in person or via delivery, depending on individual needs.
- Regular reviews in line with supply protocols must be adhered to in order to maintain continuity of treatment.

How Do I Know When to Increase My Dose?
After 4 weeks on your current dose, you may be eligible to increase it, but this should only be done:
- If you are tolerating the current dose well.
- Following a clinical review to assess your response.
- In line with the structured dose escalation protocol.
If you are experiencing side effects, you may need to remain on the current dose for longer.
For Mounjaro, licensed maintenance doses are 5mg, 10mg, and 15mg. If you feel stable and are achieving weight loss at a lower dose, you may not need to increase.
How Long Will My Treatment Last?
Each Mounjaro and Wegovy pen contains 4 weekly doses, meaning each pen lasts for 28 days.
If you are prescribed vials or alternative supply methods, this will be discussed during your clinical review.
How Should I Store My Medication?
- Unopened pens – Store in the fridge (2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze.
- Opened pens – Can be stored at room temperature (up to 25°C) for 30 days.
Note:
– Wegovy must be used within 6 weeks if stored above 8°C.
– Mounjaro must be used within 30 days if stored above 8°C.
Ensure medication is kept in its original packaging to protect it from light.
How Do I Receive My Medication?
Weight loss treatments from Verve Aesthetics can be:
- Collected in person at an agreed location.
- Delivered to you, depending on your individual needs.

- Adhere to regular clinical reviews.
- Follow protocols for safe and effective use.

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?
- If less than 4 days have passed – Take the missed injection as soon as you remember, then continue as normal.
- If more than 4 days have passed – Skip the missed dose and take the next one on your usual day.
If you miss more than one week, consult Verve Aesthetics before resuming treatment.
How Can I Travel With My Medication?
If you plan to travel while on treatment:
- Keep medication in its original packaging.
- Store in a cool bag if travelling to warm climates.
- Carry a clinical letter if travelling abroad (this can be provided upon request).
Dosing Adjustments While Travelling:
– Short trips – Doses can be adjusted as long as there are 4 days between injections.
– Breaks longer than 2 weeks – You may need to restart at the lowest dose.

Why Aren’t I Losing More Weight?
Weight loss can plateau as the body adjusts to medication. To optimise results:
- Ensure you are in a calorie deficit – Monitor food intake.
- Stay active – Regular movement supports weight loss.
- Avoid processed foods & sugary drinks, which can slow progress.
If you have been taking the medication as prescribed and still see no progress after 3 months, contact Verve Aesthetics for a clinical review and potential adjustments.
How Long Does It Take for the Medication to Work?
- Some people feel fuller within a few doses, while others take a few months to notice weight loss.
- Initial weight loss may be water weight – Fat loss typically follows over time.
- If no significant changes occur after several months, a dose adjustment may be needed.
What Are Alternative Treatments for Weight Loss?
